Self - you are the product of everything you learned in the order that you learned it; you are the product of everything you experienced in the order that you experienced it; and you are the product of everyone you have known - especially your parents when it comes to personality and moral code. Genetics is too simple in comparison.

You shed skin like a dog and in less then a year you have a new layer of skin but you are still

you. Enduring Self means memories. You can't tell a judge: I'm a new man; just examine my skin!

Amnesia and dementia represent loss of self. Occasional forgetfulness or the fact that are

memorizes aren't as good the older we get is insignificant. Not acceptable in a courtroom! Memories

decline with age and most of us change little after young adulthood (ages 20 to 30);we become set in our ways. We can grow educationally and become wiser. It's the reason rehabilitation (liberals

love it) is much less effective the older the person gets.

Cultural Self...Believe it or not, the first civilization (culture) formed in Mesopotamia which is part of modern-day Iraq. Individualism is good at the right time and the right place. They refer to today's

Army as an Army of one. Baloney except for special forces and even their a degree of cooperation

and coordination is necessitated. You have caos not society if everyone does their own thing. The

individual who is too individualistic is categorized as anti-social and potentially dangerous. Self to

Bigger Self. It varies from country to country and ethnic group to ethnic group and race to race - this

thing called culture. And, it's imperative that country reigns supreme. Some of us think only

in terms of self - unhealthy - or self and family and friends (and neighborhood or town in some cases) - better- -self, family, friends, neighborhood and country - best. There are still places where parents feel that their sole responsibility is to raise child to work and where adult members of same family aren't close.

You can't always travel less traveled road or path or you'll find yourself doing little

traveling within the confines of a jail cell for we are a product of society too! Minority rule as in the case of a dictator and his entourage that surrounds him is abborant to Americans

- it's not our culture but presently we have minority rule (liberal). The Bill of Rights is

complete and shouldn't be misinterpreted or modified or added to or subtracted from except

through a constitutional amendment and not by a minority that is in control( liberals). Under

normal circumstances the majority can't deny any of the Bill of Rights to the minority point-of-

view. (it's one of the reason that we are a republic not a democracy. The Founding Daddies

made it clear: first - Bill of Rights; Second - majority rule; third - Bible. It doesn't mean minority can't be inconvenienced. Senior citizen club - partly funded by government - - - so what; separation of church and state is a liberal myth. Listen to gospel music on Mondays. One hundred members only two of which are Jews. Jews went to court. Liberal judge banned gospel music on Mondays. A constructionist judge would have said that friends shouldn't take friends to court and should have resolved issue in private. If forced to rule, he would have: told Jews to stay home on Mondays or go to another club on that day or ask your

friends to play a record of a Jewish cantor once in awhile. The Bill of Rights would not have been violated - this is how things are suppose to be handled in our culture.

A culture amongst other things has a system of beliefs and a need for long-time and

new members to acclimate to cultural norms. Homosexuality is immoral according to the

Bible and abnormal according to evolution and unnatural according to a majority in our

culture. Keep it private or you have no right to complain of being victims of verbal and/or

physical teasing . When you live in a country, it's imperative that you except the laws,

customs, traditions, etc. of that country (practice the aspects of your fatherland in private

and learn the language! Their are many Latinos or Hispanics (whichever term that you

prefer) who don't understand that and some go so far as to form the most dangerous gangs

in our nation. And, look at Muslims in parts of Europe, especially, France where they

want Muslim law in their neighborhoods, won't learn the language, cause riots, etc.

Your non-physical traits come from learning, experience, those whom you know

and from your culture at large. Astronomers and physicists talk in terms of dark energy

and dark matter - presently they don't have the equipment to detect directly and probably

never will. They can measure it's effects, for example, stars on the outskirts of our galaxy

are moving as fast as those nearer the center (Neptune orbits the sun more slowly then

Mercury) are they violating Newton's Laws? No; if you postulate a different type of matter

and energy.

Mind: matter/energy; particle/wave; matter/anti-matter; regular matter-energy/different

matter-energy; mind/brain - different forms of the same thing - - - one can become the

other. Matter can be converted in to energy and vicaversa; why can't a thought or a

personality trait be converted into neuron-synapse-neuron connection instead being born with it - and consciousness too.

The Mind/Body Question has been debated since Plato. Notice: I avoided bringing

soul or spirit into the discussion! NOTA BENE': THE ADDENDUM HAS BECOME AS LONG AS THE ARTICLE PROPER!!!

President Bush thought that it was good idea to allow low income people to have the opportunity to own a house until '94 when he realized that the policy Clinton implemented '98 had gone too far. He tried through executive orders in '94 and '95 to rectify the situation to no avail. He directed republican leaders to raise the issue with the chairman of the Senate Banking and Finance Committee, Barney 'is my skirt to short' Frank. He was told that there was a housing problem that could turn into a crisis. He refused to take any action and claimed that the republicans were wrong or exaggerating .It was on his watch and there were no problems. And then came the domino effect: the mortgage domino fell leading to the fall of investment/commercial
bank and wall street dominos. By the way, he. Oboma and other democrats were receiving campaign
contributions - some for many years - from Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac - - - both of which are semi-independent federal agencies. Possible crime here. Do you think that the democrats will investigate their own. It's October now and I'm still waiting, Of course, since then the dems have broken the law including constitutional law many times! They and their liberals cohorts in the mainstream media will continue to blame Bush. You should spend some time thinking about the big, profound, cosmic questions before they place you six feet under. As for the democrats in congress - they were born with strong liberal genes...

     The mind-body problem: Sociobiology; Tabular Rosa and Saving Self.
     At least, they don't tell me when to speak or go skydiving: Or, will they?!
     Physicalists are philosophers who like most computer scientists, evolutionary psychologists and neuro-scientists harbor the view that the mind is physical and that mental states are neurological states or properties. And most of them subscribe to the sociobiology perspective regarding mind: intelligence; consciousness; thought; perception; memory; emotion; will; imagination; unconsciousness; personality; behavior. There's more in your genes then you think! neurons are the brain's nerve cells and cells contain genes. You can be born with a strong homosexual gene and therefore are likely to grow-up to be homos. They can't help being what they are anymore then you can, as a result, their life style should be excepted as normal and condoned by society and recognized by government. (They aren't immoral -Bible; they aren't abnormal - traditional biology). You can be born with a strong criminal gene. Consequently,criminals shouldn't be severely punished, they just couldn't help but shoot that guy. As Ann Courtler points out in her book, The church of liberalism godless": Why is it that liberals say that child molesters shouldn't be imprisoned but   should receive psychotherapy
instead. Weren't they born with a strong child molester gene? They can be helped and changed (cured) but homosexuals can't. (I paraphrased somewhat). You can even be born with a strong nasty gene or a strong greedy gene - you got the idea. You programmed like a computer!
    Some say that it's part nature(genes) and part nurture (environment). I don't find this argument palatable. 'A' was born with a strong nasty gene and' B' a weak nasty gene. What determines whether or not he will grow up to be nasty? They should just drop nature from the equation.
Their strongest argument: twins separated at birth have a 50% chance to grow up to have a similar personality and background. I don' find their argument compelling.
Bible: man has free will; traditional biology: human's have the most advanced brains and therefore aren't slaves of their biology.

    Tabula Rasa. Ibn Sina, Persian philosopher in the 11th century, "human intellect at birth is rather like a tabula rasa (blank slate), a pure potentiality that is actualized through education and that knowledge attained through empirical familiarity with objects in this world from which gains abstract, universal concepts which is developed through reason ; observations lead to propositional statements which when compounded lead to further abstract concepts." The theory - originally proposed by Aristotle - has gone virtually unchanged.
    Clearly, psychosis are the result of genes or structural brain structure damage. The meaning of facial expressions made by infants are universal. I doubt neuroses is like psychosis.
    Saving Self: at this juncture, we can all agree that genes determine hair texture, eye color, eventual height (generally speaking due environmental factors such as availability of food),
congenital and hereditary disease, etc. There can be environmental constraints on realization. Genes might indicate that an individual will be tall and muscular due to lack of food or sanitary conditions or other factors in which the individual inhabits this might not come to pass,
    Supporters of dualism maintain that mental phenomena are in some respects non-physical. They hold the view that phenomena may be perceived through a person's senses or with the mind and the mind doesn't exist in nonliving things. Mind is subjective and isn't spatial (height, length, width) like brain or brick. Some dualist go so far as to suggest that mind and brain are properties of an unknown substance.
    Let's put all are cards on the table...The average man is much taller and stronger then the average woman; male ad female chromosomal differences; women tend to be left-hemisphered (cerebral cortex) while Rick prefers the right (in more ways then one).
    Let's make some assumptions: intellect and reason (the higher functions partially genetic-jury still out). John Pokinhor, physicist and priest, (how's that for a combo!) states, "reductionist - replicating, information processing, and
existing is all that they think that we do." By the way, computers function quickly and sequentially while We take in data through our senses and neurons light up as a result of the input while other neurons light up to generate a response.We think more slowly and somewhat in parallel fashion:

neuron-synapse-neuron A to B is lit while D to E isn't then A and D and then ABD are lit and then joined by A andD while ABD turn off. Computer and Brain produce answers. You can program computer to translate Chinese to English but it doesn't understand either language.Memories are held in neurons and neural connections. Our mind can light up neurons in dreaming, day-dreaming and when engaging in abstract thought without sensory input. matter and energy are two forms of the same thing as are particles and waves.

    You see the sky and the pond floor when you look into a pond. Some photons of light bounce off of the water a strike your eyes while others bounce off of the pond floor. Quantum physics isn't deterministic. It can only talk in terms of probabilities. The probability of weather a particular photon will bounce off the water or floor. Is the photon thinking? no, energy can't think.
    What is mind? A phenomenon that accompanies another phenomenon is usually parallel to it and is related in some way to it - precise electric correlates of conscious things in the human brain. Option one: mind and brain are different forms of the same thing; option two: mind fills out, completes, compliments brain; mind is made up of a mysterious unknown substance.
    I'm going with option one: the abstract, imaginations dreams, will and emotions complete brain. It isn't genetic. Husband and wife complete each other; wave and particle complete each other; matter and energy complete each other. There different manifestations of the same thing and interact with each other. A the becomes a neuron-synapse-neuron connection
     I was born with a strong conservative gene. Issue two: the science-politics problem. Was this a political or
science article? With a nod toward Mozart, Einstein and Edison...

Where Am I?

Have I been transported to a parallel universe via the Einstein/Rosen bridge? England, Germany and France are

moving toward the right - capitalism while the U.S. moves toward the left - socialism. They have had decades of

socialism (including socialized medicine and an astronomically large number of regulation on the financial sector,

the commercial sector and individuals). Maybe, they've come to realize something that we should know!

Liberals blame the economic/financial crisis on the BIG Reagan/Bush tax cuts (under Bush those who

earned less then 40,000 per year no longer had to pay federal income taxes) deregulation. Let's put their theory

(they consider it a fact like global warming!) under a microscope. Area One: big-time deregulation between 1981

and 1993; modest between 1993 and 2001; big-time between 2001 and 2009. Area Two: Big-time Reagan tax

cuts began in 1981; Bush the Father was tricked into moderate tax increases; Republican forced Clinton to undo

much of the tax increase; big time Bush tax cuts begin in 2001 and were expanded in 2002- like Reagan for the rich

and middle class. Area Three: prosperity from 1983 to 1992 (remember tax increase) followed by less then a year

of recession and less then a year of recovery.( I was remiss, Clinton increased taxes in 1994 and their would have been

a recession in this writer's opinion had it not been for the Republican tax cuts in 1996 and 1998; recession in

2000 and recovery in 2001 followed by prosperity - in spite of what the liberal media tells you - until 1998. Nearly 27

consecutive years of prosperity is unprecedented in U.S. history, perhaps, world history. The problem: spending - Bush increased debt by 3 trillion over 8 years and Obama will increase it by 8 to 25 trillion depending on how much of what he wants he gets. What do liberals want to do: increase taxes and regulations; what does most of Western Europe want to do: cut taxes and reduce regulations.Am I in the 5th dimension of the Twilight Zone!?

I choose not to lead with this story because I want to convince people that I am modest! Did I scoop Glenn

Beck again?! Recently, he presented a theory regarding a new-style of government that was been formed in

America - a type of oligarchy. Months earlier, I presented a similar theory. I proved it.

On 10/6/09, her stated that Russia, France (I thought the new president was pro-U.S. and oil-producing

Arab nations led by China may be secretly planning to no longer bas world currency on U.S. dollar (which has

been the case since the end of WW1 - which we won - - - I'm stating that for the benefit of the public school

students of today!) which will further devalue the dollar which is worth nearly one-third less then it was 10 years

ago (one-third of that one-third reduction occurred since Obama became President).Obama and Congress are

devaluing dollar by going on a spending spree and the Federal Reserve Bank merrily keeps printing more money.

China is 'dumping' it's U.S. by invested in third-world countries purchasing things for a song. Glenn Beck suggests

that hyper-inflation is being created in U.S. which means we will be like a third-world nation wherein their dollar is

virtually worthless and the President declares Marshal Law. Glenn Beck states chances of that happening are

remote...

I stated months ago that there was a remote chance hat the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (He is

over all U.S. military - only the civilian Defense Secretary outranks him - again, for benefit of public school students)

might declare Marshal law to undo Obama and congressional violations of constitutional law, corporate law and

bankruptcy law. In third-world (poor - I worry about public school kids at all levels) a military coup is usually

permanent. U.S. Soldiers love their country, they would restore Founding Father's Constitution and quickly

restore civilian control of government. Did I scoop Beck? Read:" Why Should You Read rickaddsite" and

"Triumvirate Backed by an oversized Oligarchy." Toot!

It's an interesting coincidence. As a well-informed individual, I formulate and present ORIGINAL and unORIGINAL ideas (always attributing credit to the originator) predicated an data that I collect independently, as well as. sources conservative, moderate and liberal (Besides, you have to be

open-minded and keep an eye on the enemy!). I watch Glenn Beck and Chris Mathews.

What is important? More and more Americans are becoming cognizant of the fact that our ORIGINAL Founding Father's Constitution is
